Human Impacts

Human impacts are having serious affects throughout the Subtropical Evergreen Forest. There have been threats to biodiversity, pollution and climate change caused by global warming and deforestation. The habitats of all the organisms in the forest are in serious danger of extinction. Human disturbances can be most obvious in islands such as Taiwan because of their small size. Living on an island also can make people aware of limited resources and of an area’s carrying capacity for humans. Unlike, if you live in continents most of us don’t think land, food, and water as being limited resources since there is always new land to settle in.
